Location Data
The SB Taxi Service uses precise location data (GPS) to operate core taxi functionality.
SB Taxi Driver App: The driver app collects and processes location data in both foreground and background modes.
Background Location Disclosure:
The SB Taxi Driver App may access location data even when the app is closed or not actively in use. This occurs only when the driver is logged in, marked as online, available for rides, or during an active trip.
Driver location data is used to:
- Match customers with nearby drivers
- Provide real-time driver tracking to customers
- Calculate estimated arrival time (ETA)
- Enable navigation to pickup and destination locations
- Maintain ride status and trip progress
- Improve safety, dispatch accuracy, and service reliability
SB Taxi Customer App: The customer app may access location data only while the app is in use to select pickup locations, view nearby drivers, and track rides.
Driver location data is transmitted securely to our servers and shared with customers only when necessary for booking, pickup, active ride tracking, and trip completion.
We do not sell location data.
Drivers can stop location collection at any time by going offline, logging out, disabling location permissions in device settings, or uninstalling the app.
