This is what Roger Jones thought until he spotted Bulgaria’s Midalidare Estate receiving gold awards for the last five years at the Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships (of which Jones is a part of the team). Add to this, that Midalidare won a World Champion Blanc de Blancs Trophy and Jones just knew that he had to go to the Thracian Lowlands to check out the winery for himself.
