The former head coach of Bulgarian champion Maritsa (Plovdiv), Ahmetcan Erşimşek, will continue his career in the Turkish Sultans League, having been officially presented as the new coach of Zeren Spor.The news confirms reports that emerged back in March, and now the Ankara club has officially announced the appointment of the Turkish specialist for the 2026/27 season.Erşimşek worked at Maritsa for the past two seasons, taking over the Plovdiv team before the 2024/25 campaign. Prior to that, he built a strong reputation as a long-time assistant to the legendary Giovanni Guidetti at VakıfBank, where he spent eight seasons between 2016 and 2024.In parallel with his club work, the Turkish specialist gained international experience at the national level.
