December 15 – Iliyan Filipov, the owner of Bulgarian football club Botev Plovdiv, has announced a reduction in the club’s debt over the past five and a half months, while also issuing a strong condemnation of Plovdiv Mayor Kostadin Dimitrov for the ongoing delays in completing the ‘Hristo Botev’ stadium. Filipov (pictured) said the club’s debt has dropped from a real figure of nearly BGN 9 million (about €4.6 million) to below BGN 5 million (about €2.56 million) since he took charge. Read more …
